Predictions: Ralph is going to set more rules and camp will be very strict. There isn't any monsters, they're all just figments of the boys imagination. Jack and Ralph aren't going to be friends much longer.
Images:
The boys were very scared during the night, thinking that there were monsters out in the jungle.
The boys had their assembly around the campfire.
Percival, one of the littluns, thinks that the best came from the ocean and is a sea monster.
Clarify: Ralph says important things twice because he wants to make sure that everyone can hear clearly what he has to say and that they understand him. The littluns were having bad dreams because they were frightening themselves with the idea of fear.
Try: What made Ralph all of a sudden grow up and become responsible? Why isn't anyone taking Ralph seriously? Where did Percival go when no one could find him? When did someone realize that Percival had never disappeared? What does "SOD you" mean?
Use: When Ralph is holding the meeting, the boys start laughing at him and talking over him. This happens to me all the time at school when I raise my hand to ask a question or to answer a question. Kids have no respect now a days, and they didn't back then either.
Review: In Chapter 5, Ralph calls everyone to an assembly so that he can try and get everyone back on track of their main goal: to get rescued. As Ralph called the meeting, many of the boys didn't listen. They laughed in Ralph' s face and Jack was the one who led the boys away from the assembly. Simon , Ralph, and Piggy were the only ones left and they didn't know what they should do because Jack was out of control. Ralph wanted to back down but Piggy and Simon convinced Ralph not to because they both needed him to be the leader. They were talking about what they needed to do, when they heard Percival scream.
